What are the Current Top Social Media Trends? - Week of July 16th, 2025
I Grieve Different
The trend: Have you ever been super excited for something, only to find out the one problem that comes with it? That's what this trend is about: the hidden con to the pro. Pick a struggle that's relatable to your niche and run with it.
Audio: original sound - Clipse (aka United in Grief by Kendrick Lamar)
Something to Take The Edge Off
The trend: Let's face it, life can be stressful. This trend focuses on that one thing that makes you forget about it all. The only real thing you got to do if you're gonna participate is make sure to pinch your stress relief of choice between two fingers. Some have done a slice of bread, some have done an entire Chili's restaurant - the choice is yours!
Audio: deep in it - berlioz
"You Look Happier"
The trend: "Thanks, I've been working on my social media game". This trend revolves around what makes you happier in life, and what you've been up to recently that's helping that smile widen. There are plenty of examples out there to base your video off of, but we recommend choosing something that's personal to you and well within your audience's interest.
What are the Current Top Social Media Trends? - Week of June 18th, 2025
My 90 in a 30
The trend: This one’s super simple in concept: pick a song that you’d kill to speed on the highway to. This is a great opportunity for any niche to highlight some relevant trendy music, or let your personality shine more.
Audio: Any song that makes you want to speed (but don't actually do that)
"Manchild"
The trend: Sabrina’s recent release highlights both immature men and country-music fusion, leading to people making line dance videos with it as well as sharing their own experiences with immature men.
If you’re able to grab your dancin’ shoes, it may be worth giving a try! If you can’t dance, don’t fret - you can still hop on this trend with a relevant story about men in your life.
Audio: Manchild - Sabrina Carpenter
"Your Love is my Drug"
The trend: 2000’s synth-pop is so back. For this one, you’ll need a bestie to film with. One of you will be the “normal voice” and relatively still, while the other needs to sing the backing vocal and look overdramatic! This one’s gonna be extremely fun to film :)
Audio: your love is my drug - amypk

"I mean I could, but why would I want to?"
The trend: Super easy way for creators to stand out from their niche. This trend is all about rejecting the “norm” and rejecting what everyone expects your niche to do. How would you defy your niche’s norm?
"Rock your Body"
The trend: It's official: 2010s pop is back. People across TikTok and Instagram are busting a move with their besties to this banger from the Black Eyed Peas. To hop on this trend, just have fun and dance as goofy as you can! "Rock that body" just like the song, as this one's pretty universal for every creator, even non-dancers.
Audio: original sound - Sam Jorden
"I'mma Be"
The trend: The Black Eyed Peas are just having an amazing start to their summer apparently, with two songs going viral once again! This one focuses heavily on pretending to be a super model- strike a pose, pretend to walk the walk, and show off your stuff!
This one's a bit more intense for our dancer creator friends. There's plenty of choreography tutorials available on TikTok and Instagram if you want to try your hand at something official. However, if you're a creator or brand just looking to make something simple with this trend, we may recommend using it in a POV style short-form video, and having the POV be energetic, youthful and sort of like a party vibe!

What are the Current Top Social Media Trends? - Week of June 3rd, 2025
"Six Syllable"
The trend: This one's a bit untraditional, but it's been trending for a solid week now and shows no sign of stopping! The Six Syllable trend is relatively easy for any creator to hop on- you just need a sentence with six syllables that you can "read to the beat".
How to hop on this trend: Honestly, just have fun and dance as goofy as you can! "Rock that body" just like the song, as this one's pretty universal for every creator, even non-dancers.
"Propaganda I'm Not Falling For"
The trend: This one is able to be heavily catered toward your niche. Choose a bunch of things that you won't fall for (or alternatively, "will fall for") and list them out with text on screen. Your audience will want to compare, agree, or disagree, which creates many engagement opportunities.
Audio: No specific audio.
"Holy (freaking) AIRBALL"
The trend: This one is great for creators with a career-type niche. This trend is based around "assumptions" from men revolving around what you do, and typically having a twist moment showcasing how cool what you do really is.
Audio: Soul Survivor - Young Jeezy & AKON
Why do Trends Matter?
Social media platforms thrive on discovery, with algorithms prioritizing content that aligns with what’s capturing attention in the moment. When you tap into trends, your content is more likely to benefit from increased reach due to algorithmic boosts, helping you appear culturally relevant and in tune with your audience.
Trends also give you an opportunity to show brand personality, connect on a human level, and encourage deeper engagement by leveraging formats that are already familiar to users. However, not every trend is worth pursuing. Knowing when and how to engage with a trend is what separates effective content strategy from noise.
Should I Jump on Trends?
Feeling inspired? You should be. Social media is a constantly ticking clock where something new happens every single moment. By staying ahead of the trends, your content will be able to be more relevant to your audience, as well as gaining a traffic boost from the algorithm.
When done well, jumping on trends ca transform your reach, engagement, and community growth in just a mere few seconds of shortform video. At Advanced Creative Media, we help both brands and creators alike identify, plan, and execute trend-based content optimized for chances at virality. We don't just ride the wave - we lead it.
